October's Website of the Month

I'm going to start posting a link to a site of interest once a month. The first of this series is the Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood. This is a group dedicated to letting our children grow up free of rampant consumerism. As a parent who favours raising my own children in my own home according to what many would call 'traditional' values, I am very concerned about the effect that too much television has on young children - and one of the worst effects comes from the barrage of commercials that they see. As corporations get more and more cynical and more and more effective at marketing to children, I'd like to see campaigns like this one get lots of support.
